CWC WATER DELIVERY SYSTEM PIPELINE PROJECT
Sustainable water
supply is an important issue to our members and customers. Your water
company is proud to announce its efforts to support and promote a plan for
extending a pipeline from the CAP at Pima Mine Rd, to the Green Valley Sahuarita
area.
Community Water
Company is pleased to announce that we held a CAP project update and open house for our members on October 30, 2007 at GVR West Center where the letter of intent and various water issues were discussed.
The letter of intent was recently
released and is available below in its complete form except for specific pricing
elements that could negatively impact our ability to meet cost objectives for
our project. CWC has kept this document private until now because of our
business ethics, normal relations between corporations, and the reputation of
CWC within the business community. At this point, CWC believes that the release
is in the best interest of our members, with the hope that it will enable us to
focus on the important issue of water.

SULFATE WATER ISSUES
Water quality is
an import issue to our members and customers. Your co-op has been working
with the State Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) to address issues of
long-term protection of our water supplies. In mid 2005, we temporarily
borrowed wells to allow us to stop using the lower quality water. The
first of two replacement wells went into operations in 2006 and a second in
2007. We are participating in a community advisory group, but look to ADEQ
to help protect our interests regarding the long-term quality of our water
supplies.
